MIMO's STORY
MIMO was born during our semesters abroad, where we quickly realized a challenge many students face. Unlike in some student dorms, not every apartment came furnished — and for those just starting their studies, transportation and logistics were often a real struggle. Each move meant buying new furniture and leaving old pieces behind, creating unnecessary waste and costs.
We wanted to change that. Our goal was to create a safe, student-only platform that makes it easy to buy, sell, and trade locally — without high prices or unreliable exchanges. MIMO connects students within their city, helping them give furniture and other items a second life while building a more sustainable and supportive student community.

At MIMO, sustainability is at the core of everything we do.
By enabling students to buy, sell, and store items locally, we reduce waste, energy use, and long transport routes – creating a smart, circular system that gives products a second life. Our approach supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals: building sustainable cities and communities, promoting responsible consumption and production, and driving climate action. Through eco-friendly packaging, solar-powered storage, and short-distance logistics, we make sustainability practical, affordable, and community-driven – because protecting the planet should be as simple as student life itself.
